This standard deck girder bridge is the 21st crossing of the Baraboo River along this route.
Built in 1899, the bridge consists of a pair of deck girder spans. The bridge rests on stone substructures. The bridge also has had timber trestle jump spans added on either side, making the former abutments into piers.
Originally built for a second track, the former westbound main track was removed at some point. Today, an empty slot remains where the second track once was.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
The photo above is an overview. The bridge can be seen from parallel WI-136.
